Dear Students,

The ITF-TAO is hosting it’s first Technical Seminar post Covid lockdown. Details below.

Location: Sheridan College at the Athletic building.
Enter at the North entrance off of Trafalgar (at the lights across from burger king).
Proceed all the way to the back.

Click this map and look for the Athletics Center in the far corner, it is a big campus so please check!

Times: We must be there for 8:30am to finish 12 noon. We cannot be late please.
It is better to be 15 minutes early than 1 minute late.

Attendees:
Yellow Belt & above that are registered only.

Equipment Required:

  • Clean & pressed Dobok (uniform) – That is 3 things – Dobuk Jacket, Pants & Belt (no Belt, no entrance of course)
  • All those 12 years of age & older please bring your vaccination certificate with you to show at venue entrance.
  • Bring your mask, it is required at venue entrance.
  • No progress cards.
  • No sparring equipment required.

Seminar Etiquette
Etiquette plays an important role for Taekwon-Do practitioners, regardless of their rank and all students must adhere to some form of etiquette.  In its most basic form, Taekwon-Do etiquette is a prescribed set of standards for a person’s conduct and attitude toward themselves and others.  Etiquette in the Dojang ensures a positive, safe and comfortable environment that is conducive to learning.

  • Arrive 15-30 minutes before the seminar.
  • Those arriving late must do 50 pushups per minute late and await permission before entering
  • One may not enter or leave the training area during the seminar unless permission is granted.
  • Bow upon entering and leaving the training area.
  • Be in line before 5 minutes before the scheduled start time for the seminar. You must turn 90 degrees to your side and wait for instructors to pass before you return to face the front.
  • Always stand or sit with good posture. Avoid leaning against the wall, slouching while sitting or crossing your arms. Only sit when asked to.
  • Always walk behind or around senior Instructors, never in front.
  • No food, beverage or chewing gum is allowed in the training area (water is the exception).
  • Avoid being out of full uniform in front of senior Instructors.
  • When asking or answering a question, one must stand in attention stance and bow before asking, answering, and receiving the answer to the question
